Mathematics Department is one of the ten departments within the Faculty of Arts and Science, giving four years of undergraduate education followed by MSc and PhD degrees upon passing the necessary exams. The aim of the department is to supply the students with the necessary information and skills to do further study in Mathematics and related areas, as well as preparing them to work in high schools, private schools, banks, financial companies and many other sectors. The department has 25 academic staff with research interests in Analysis, Functions Theory, Algebra, Number Theory, Geometry, Applied Mathematics, Logic and Statistics.
